Synopsis: (Drama, Fantasy) Hans Christian Andersen's tragic tale, "The Little Match Girl", gets a modern day, Floridian make-over. Mandy, a homeless college drop-out, suffers through her blistering hot environment, and wants to find a way to escape it. One day, she discovers a mysterious cup with un-melted ice cubes inside. With each ice cube she holds in her fingers, it gives her hallucinations of things that would keep her cool. Although, Mandy will soon realize that it'll take more than ice cubes to mend her soul. Full of dramatic twists and heartfelt emotion, The Floridian Heat is a fantasy drama that will brighten your spirits and warm your soul.

Production Background & Fun Facts: Working on The Floridian Heat, as my first ever short film, was a rewarding experience, but most importantly a perfect learning experience. I learned all the ups and downs of film production within a few months of making this film. Not only that, 90% of the film was made on my own, which added more to the challenge of first-time filmmaking.

Festivals & Accolades: Miami Independent Film Festival (MINDIE Monthly Edition), Silver Screen for Short Films Festival (January 2017), FROSTBITE Film Festival (April 2017), Indiana Comic Con Film Festival, Tampa Bay Comic Con Film Festival, San Francisco Comic Con Film Festival, UT Blackbox Film Festival
