Synopsis: (Psychological Thriller) When forced to confront the demons of her past, a troubled young girl, Nancy (Stephanie Ceballos), undergoes a horrific and mind altering journey through the shadowy depths of her own subconscious. Struggling to come to grips with the unbearable secrets binding her, she is sent spiraling into a distorted maze of murder and dementia. The boundaries between life and death blur, then completely shatter, as she descends further into the nightmarish confines of her own fractured past... This highly stylized film short, from award winning independent filmmaker David Melendez, effectively utilizes sublime and unsettling imagery which recalls the early works of David Lynch, Roman Polanski (Repulsion), and Ken Russell (Altered States)

Production Background & Fun Facts: This film was produced during an interesting time for ultra-low budget indie filmmaking due to the cross road in the camera manufacturing industry. DSLR wasn't accepted yet as a form to shoot movies. Camcorders were at their peak and the industry slowly made a shift to introduce more film friendly features on DSLR. This film was shot with the Panasonic HVX200 on P2 cards which at the time was fairly new as the industry started moving away from mini DV. Shot in the armory tunnels of the historic Fort De Soto which was built in 1898. Shot over three days with a budget of around $300.
